Journal Reconfiguration in ScholarOne
A guide for ScholarOne Manuscripts (S1M) administrators, including details about what needs to be reconfigured in S1M, in order to exchange the right information Atypon Author Portal Submission.
Reconfigure a Journal in ScholarOne Manuscripts
To make sure the right information is exchanged between ScholarOne Manuscripts (S1M) and Author Portal, you need to reconfigure a number of settings in S1M.

  - Reconfigure a Journal in ScholarOne Manuscripts
    To make sure the right information is exchanged between ScholarOne Manuscripts (S1M) and Author Portal, you need to reconfigure a number of settings in S1M.
  - Edit Manuscript Types
    Make sure that the manuscript types that have been set for your journal in S1M are the same as the ones created in Author Portal.

    Check that the appropriate attributes are the same as the attributes in Atypon Author Portal Submission.

    ScholarOne external IDs allow you to map a ScholarOne custom question to the corresponding additional information question in Author Portal so that when a manuscript submitted using Author Portal is ingested by ScholarOne, the submitter's answers to the additional information questions are included under Manuscript Details > Manuscript Information > Author-Supplied Data > Internal Use Only on the manuscript's record in ScholarOne. External IDs in ScholarOne and Author Portal must match exactly, including capitalization and spacing, in order to avoid errors.

Reconfigure a Journal in ScholarOne Manuscripts

To make sure the right information is exchanged between ScholarOne Manuscripts (S1M) and Author Portal, you need to reconfigure a number of settings in S1M.

Before you begin

Request the following from your S1M administrator:

Enable the API.
Provide you access to the Integration Center, so you can configure API notifications.
Enable external IDs.

Procedure

Log in to ScholarOne Manuscripts (S1M).
Select Support > Configuration Center.
Click Configure This Site.

The site configuration options appear.
