Update Submission Groups

Edit an existing submission group or add a new group in S1M.

About this task

You may need to add a new submission group or edit an existing one because, for example, manuscripts originally submitted through ScholarOne and manuscripts originally submitted through Author Portal may be contained in different submission groups.

Procedure

  1. Click Support > Configuration Center.
  2. Click Configure This Site.
  3. Click step 4, Submission Groups.
  4. To edit an existing submission group, do the following:
    1. Click the edit icon under the Edit column.
      The Edit Submission Group table is displayed underneath.
    2. Edit the submission group as necessary in the Edit Submission Group table.
    3. Click Save to save your updates.
  5. To add a new submission group, do the following:
    1. Enter the required details in the Add a Submission Group table.
      Note: You must enter at least one value for both Manuscript Type: and Manuscript Status:, otherwise S1M will the display the warning message: It appears that the submission group criteria you are trying to save contains empty fields. Please check and try again.
    2. Click Add to save the new submission group.

What to do next

When editing an existing group or adding a new one, your changes may affect other existing submission groups. If so, S1M will prompt you to decide whether to proceed with the changes.
