Resolving Submission Failures in Author Portal and ScholarOne

This section aims at capturing the processes for resolving different types of submission failures between Author Portal and ScholarOne.

Journal administrators can easily resolve the most common failures:

  • Can't create revision/resubmission - revision/resubmission already started
  • User name is already in use
  • Submitting author mismatch
  • Document is unlocked
  • Duplicate email address
  • Can't create revision/resubmission - revision/resubmission expired
  • Edge Failures:
    • Can't create revision/resubmission can't find previous document
    • Journal is in maintenance mode
    • Provided document_replaces does not exist
    • Virus found

  • Author Portal submission number
  • Title
  • Steps you have taken to resolve
