Can't create revision/resubmission - revision/resubmission expired

The submission fails with ScholarOne error code 19.

Why it happens…

The revision or resubmission option has expired on the S1M side. This generally shouldn’t happen because Author Portal makes every effort to keep due dates in sync and will not permit the author to complete an expired revision. However, there are some edge cases where this can still happen.

To resolve:

  1. In ScholarOne, find the submission and extend the due date.
  2. Open Author Portal and select Submissions > Actions > Resubmit.
  3. Wait at least 15 minutes and verify that the submission appears on S1M.
