Collect Co-Author ORCID iDs
Author Portal can now be configured to send email invitations to co-authors of a submission to associate their ORCID iDs with their Author Portal accounts.
My ORCID iD Profile Menu Option
Authors can link or unlink their ORCID iD from their Author Portal account through the new My ORCID iD page.
Rescinded Submission State
When a decision is rescinded in ScholarOne, Author Portal now displays a state of Rescinded for that submission until a new decision is issued in ScholarOne.
Admin Checklist Rejections
When a submission is rejected from the ScholarOne Admin Checklist, the submission state is now updated to Rejected in Author Portal.
Alert ScholarOne That a Revision Is in Progress in Rex
When an author begins the revision process for their submission in Author Portal, the
submission's status in ScholarOne is updated to a revision has been
started
.
Test Integration With ScholarOne
You can now test integration with ScholarOne for a journal. From the Integration Test tab of the journal configuration in Author Portal, click Run Integration Test to generate a report that will include any mismatches between the Author Portal and ScholarOne configurations for that journal.
Retain Deactivated Special Issues for In-Flight Manuscripts
A new version of the Is this submission for a special issue? additional information question has been added to Author Portal. This version allows authors to continue the revision process for manuscripts originally submitted for special issues that have been deactivated. When deactivated, special issues no longer accept new submissions.
In the Additional Information tab of a journal's configuration in Author Portal, the new version of the question includes a Configure button. Click this button to specify which special issues are currently active. Associate the question with article types from the Article Types tab of a journal configuration in Author Portal.
Manual File Reordering for Files of the Same Designation
In the Upload Manuscript submission step, if submitters upload multiple files of the same file designation in Author Portal, for example, multiple figures, by default Author Portal orders these files alphabetically by file name. Submitters can now drag and drop the files to change the order in which they are listed.
Files cannot be moved from one designation to another, for example, from Figures to Tables.
