Author Portal Transfer Administrator-Initiated Import User Guide
This user guide includes workflow instructions about how Administrator users with the Transfer Admin role can use the Author Portal Transfer service within a Tenant's portfolio of journals to manually import a rejected manuscript from any journal using ScholarOne Manuscripts and transfer it to any journal using Author Portal (Author Portal).

    Users with a Transfer Admin role or a Tenant Super User role with the appropriate permissions assigned can access the Author Portal Transfer application.

Reminder Transfer Notifications

If the author does not log in or finalize their draft submission in Author Portal, they will receive a series of automatic reminders to complete the pending draft:

Reminder 1: 5 days, 6 hours after the initial notification
Reminder 2: 13 days, 12 hours after the first reminder
Reminder 3: 25 days, 18 hours after the second reminder

Draft reminders sent from Author Portal are not configurable:

Reminders must be the same for all journals on a tenant and they cannot be disabled. However, reminder email templates are similar to other Author Portal email templates in that they support variables such as journal name.
The reminder schedule cannot be customized.
Authors cannot manage reminders. This means authors cannot put reminders on hold, and they cannot decline offers. The draft in Author Portal does not automatically expire if not completed.
