Check the Peer Review Files of a Transferred Submission

When transferring a submission, review the decision letter and any peer review reports that Author Portal Transfer has automatically extracted from the previous journal.

Before you begin

You must start a submission transfer from the Author Portal Transfer Admin Dashboard.

About this task

Such files are displayed in Complete Transfer > Peer Review.

Procedure

  1. Under Decision Letter (Initial Submission), click Show full letter or Hide to toggle between viewing the full decision letter or an extract of the letter.
If Author Portal Transfer is unable to automatically retrieve any of the peer review files, an error message will be displayed.
  2. To upload additional peer review files or a note file, click Upload.

The note file can include details about the previous journal, such as the ScholarOne manuscript ID, that should be passed to the editorial office of the destination journal along with the transferred submission.

These files will be passed to the editorial office of the destination journal as a special file designation, Editor Only. In ScholarOne, the files will be available under the Original Files listing. They will not be visible to the author in Author Portal or ScholarOne.

Note: The ScholarOne site of journals receiving transfers must be configured to support the Editor Only file designation in order to successfully ingest these additional files from Author Portal.

What to do next

Once you have confirmed that all the files and metadata for the transferred submission are correct, click Send to Author.
