Activate or Deactivate Additional Features
Enable additional features such as the Co-Author Dashboard and Reviewer PDF for all, or only certain, journals.
Before you begin
Note: Super Users can perform all the actions described on this
page, in particular enabling a feature for only certain (pilot) journals. Tenant
Super Users can perform most of the actions, but they cannot enable a feature only
for pilot journals.
About this task
Activating or deactivating features, whether at the platform or journal level, takes effect immediately, and you do not need to create a new journal configuration and publish it for the change to take effect.
The features that can be activated or deactivated from this page are:
- Co-Author Dashboard
- Reviewer PDF
- Authorship Changes
This feature requires ScholarOne configuration.
Procedure

Enable a previously inactive feature only for certain journals.
Only Super Users can perform this action.

Enable a previously inactive feature for all journals.
Both Super Users and Tenant Super Users can perform this action.
- From the Activate for the required feature. tab, click
- If you have Super User rights, click Activate for all journals.
- If you have Tenant Super User rights, click Yes, activate.
Active in all journals will display above the feature name. -
Enable, for all journals, a feature that was previously activated only for
pilot journals.
Both Super Users and Tenant Super Users can perform this action. However, a Super User must have previously enabled the feature for pilot journals.

Deactivate a feature.
Both Super Users and Tenant Super Users can perform this action. The steps for deactivating a feature are the same whether the feature was enabled only for pilot journals or all journals.
- From the Deactivate for the required feature. tab, click
- Click Yes, deactivate.
Inactive will display above the feature name.
